摘　　要：The landscapes of many great cities often include a centrally located flowing river.The city of Paris has grown in the arms of the famous Seine.The Seine is a large river in northern France with a total length of 776.6 kilometres(km)and a drainage area of 78,700 square kilometres including its tributaries.The river originates from the Langres Plateau in the Cote d'Or region of Burgundy,France.It traverses northern France as itflows from thesoutheastto the northwest,eventually into the English Channel.It is one of the most historic rivers in allof Europe.
