摘　　要：Tianshui,one of the cities in Gansu Province,is known as"a place in Gansu featuring sights of the Yangtze River Delta in Southern China?Tianshui served as the first important gateway from Gansu Province to central Shaanxi Province in ancient China.Located30 kilometres(km)southeast of Maji District in Tianshui City,Maji Mountain is one of the city's most attractive features.The mountain reaches an elevation of 1,742 metres(m)and is part of Xiaolong Ridge.In Chinese,Maji means"grain stack"and the mountain got its name because ofits resemblance to the shape of stack of grain.
