摘　　要：Qilinbei Hutong is located in the northwest of Dongcheng District.The hutong(alley)is small and short,and resembles an"L"in its shape.In the past,this alley was not called by its current name.Rather,it was called Koudai("Pocket")Hutong during the reign of Xuantong(1908-1911)of the Qing Dynasty(1644-1911).Having a narrow entrance but being wide on the inside,the alley has the characteristics of apocket.
