摘　　要：In the spring of 1974,local vilagers uncovered a pottery lid and some debris at a depth of more than two metres(m)while driling a well in Lintong County,more than 30 kilometres(km)eastward to Xi'an.No one expected that this accidental discovery would lead to the uncovering of an underground army that had been sealed for more than 2,000 years.This site is the world-famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Emperor Qinshihuang,also known as"The Eighth Wonder of the World"and"a treasure of ancient human civilisation"
