摘 要:生态批评是研究文学中人与自然环境之间互动的一种批评话语,其理论关注点与人类的知觉感受紧密相关,而劳伦斯的诗歌正以对感官的描写著称,具有浓重的生态自然特征。从视觉、听觉、触觉等知觉角度解读其诗歌作品的研究已经出现,而少有研究者注意到嗅觉在劳伦斯诗歌中的显现。从早期爱情诗中自然的馥郁与女性的芳香,到晚期批判工业社会的诗歌中对城市废气、蒸汽黑烟以及战争毒气的痛斥。对劳伦斯诗歌中的嗅觉与气味进行分析,将有助于凸显其中的生态伦理和环境正义。并且,劳伦斯诗歌中突出的嗅觉表现,也可以上升到西方文化转折的高度,与中国的味觉美学进行比较,从而发掘出其中所蕴含的文化价值。Ecocriticism is a critical discourse that studies the interaction between humans and the natural environment in literature.Its theoretical focus is closely related to human perception and sensory experiences.Lawrence's poetry,renowned for its descriptive portrayal of sensations,exhibits strong ecological and natural characteristics.While there have been studies interpreting his poetic works from the perspectives of visual,auditory,and tactile perceptions,few researchers have paid attention to the manifestation of smell in Lawrence's poetry.Analyzing the olfactory and aromatic elements in Lawrence's poetry,ranging from the rich natural fragrances and female scents in his early love poems to the vehement denunciation of urban emissions,steam black smoke,and warfare gases in his later poems critiquing industrial society,can help highlight the ecological ethics and environmental justice within Lawrence's poetry.Furthermore,examining the prominent olfactory expressions in Lawrence's poetry can also be elevated to a broader cultural context,drawing comparisons with Chinese gustatory aesthetics and uncovering the cultural values embedded within.
