摘　　要：近代上海商界知名人物王晓籁曾任上海市总商会会长等职,是典型的上海绅商代表。他在上海从事商务活动的同时也参与较多慈善公益活动,组织并参与义演赈灾,积极为抗战筹款,在义演筹赈中充当了三重角色,是支撑义演筹赈的重要人物。王晓籁义演筹赈既有组织活动也有个体行为,在商人阶层中具有典型性和代表性。近代商人阶层是一种举足轻重、极其活跃的社会力量,他们在经商牟利的同时也有社会担当,既有个人抱负与事业追求,也在为民做事与己而乐。王晓籁义演筹赈活动具有社会动员价值与时代意义。Wang Xiaolai,a well-known figure in the modern Shanghai business community,has served as the President of the Shanghai general chamber of commerce,and is a typical representative of the gentry merchants.While engaging in business activities in Shanghai,he participated in many charity and public welfare activities,initiating,organizing,and participating in the charity performances for disaster relief,and actively raising funds for the War of resistance against Japanese aggression.He played a triple role in charity performances for relief and was a multiple force supporting the fundraising for charity performances.Wang Xiaolai’s charity performance fundraising includes both organizational activities and individual behavior,which is typical and representative among the merchant class.The contemporary merchant class is a pivotal and extremely active social force.While operating for profit,they also have social responsibilities,including personal aspirations and career pursuits,as well as working for the people and enjoying themselves.Wang Xiaolai’s charity performances for the purpose of raising relief funds have social mobilization value and contemporary significance.
