摘　　要：The Maya civilisation,which reached its peakbetween AD 300 and AD 900,is noted for its sophisticated writing system,accurate calendar as wellas outstanding architecture,art and astronomy.The pre-Hispanic Town of Uxmal,located in the Puuc region of the Yucatan Peninsula,is listed among important archaeological sites of the Maya civilisation,along with the Pre-Hispanic City of Chichen-Itza on the same peninsula.
