摘　　要：Xuanhua District,Zhangjiakou City,Hebei Province is the famous site of the Zhang family tombs,which are from the Liao Dynasty(AD 916-1125)and are known for the gorgeous,colourful murals inside.They are referred to as Xuanhua Xiabali Liao Dynasty Tombs.From 1971 to 1993,archaeologists excavatedandcleared outmorethan10 tombs of the Zhang family of the Liao Dynasty,represented by the tomb of Zhang Shiqing.Over 800 artefacts and 360 square metres of murals were unearthed fromthetombs.
