预设理论与美国总统言语幽默的生成机制研究

摘　　要：言语幽默是一种语言艺术,也是一种重要的交际策略,体现着一个人的学识、态度与智慧。美国总统经常采用言语幽默策略,实现各种交际意图。预设是话说人假定存在的信息,而且这种信息可以得到听话人的认可,是交际的前提。研究从预设的性质以及预设的种类两个角度,阐释美国总统言语幽默的生成机制,增强对言语幽默的理论认知,提高人们使用言语幽默策略的意识。Verbal humor is not only a language art but also a communicative strategy reflecting a person’s knowledge,attitude and wisdom.It is also adopted by American presidents to deliver their intentions.Presupposition,the precondition for communication,refers to some information which is assumed by speakers and is accepted by listeners.Based on the properties and categories of presupposition,the paper interprets the generationmechanism of the verbal humor of American presidents to deepen people’s understanding of humor and raise the awareness of applying the verbal humor strategy in life.
