To explore the effect of exogenous H_(2)O_(2) on the growth of melon under salt stress, this paper took the“Xiaomaisu”melon variety as the experimental object, designed different treatments to study the growth and physiological characters of melon. The results showed that the growth of melon was inhibited under salt stress, and the ratio of GSH/GSSG and the content of chlorophyll was decreased. But the level of membrane lipid peroxidation, the activity of SOD and CAT,and the content of GSSG and GSH+GSSG were increased in melon under salt stress. However, appropriate concentration of H_(2)O_(2) could alleviate the growth of melon and improved the content of chlorophyll of melon under salt stress. As the concentration of H_(2)O_(2) increased,it was reduced mitigation effect of melon under salt stress, the indicator of redox was increased at first and then decreased. Therefore, proper concentration of H_(2)O_(2)treatment could alleviate the damage of salt stress on melon. When the concentration of H_(2)O_(2) was 10-15 mmol/L,it could improve resistance to adversity.
