摘 要:科学教育是科技强国的重要前提之一,应从小学阶段抓起,逐步培养小学生的科学意识、科学思维和科学能力,而在这一过程中,为小学生编纂一部高质量的科学领域专科词典就显得尤为迫切。《小学生多功能科学词典》是由上海辞书出版社于2016年出版的科学领域微型专科词典,与《现代汉语词典》(第7版)相比,《小学生多功能科学词典》的释义准确严谨,内容具体形象,语言通俗易懂,具有较强的系统性、科普性、互动性和直观性,同时也存在着一些不足,如收词不够全面、没有标注拼音、缺少视听资源等。因此,应当进一步加强小学生科学词典的编纂工作,如扩大收词范围,编纂小型或中型专科词典,为收录的科学词语标注读音,建设视听资源库等。Science education is an essential prerequisite for establishing a technologically advanced country.Its implementation should commence in elementary school to gradually foster scientific awareness,thinking,and abilities among students.In this regard,the urgent need for a high-quality specialized science dictionary catering to elementary school students cannot be overstated.Published in 2016 by the Shanghai Lexicographical Publishing House,Multifunctional Science Dictionary for Elementary School Students is a miniature specialized science dictionary.It surpasses Modern Chinese Dictionary(7th edition)in terms of its accurate,rigorous,specific,and vivid definitions,expressed in popular and easily comprehensible language.The dictionary features strong systematicity,popular science education,interactivity,and intuitiveness.Nevertheless,it is not without its limitations,such as inadequate coverage of scientific terms,lack of pinyin annotations,and dearth of audio-visual resources.Thus,the compilation of science dictionaries for elementary school students must be further reinforced,by increasing the breadth of word coverage,compiling small or medium-sized specialized dictionaries,introducing phonetic annotations for scientific terms,and creating audio-visual resource databases.
