摘　　要：美国优秀学生奖学金竞赛(National Merit Scholarship Competition)是美国中学在课程之外培养和选拔人才的一个重要学术竞赛,同时也是美国衔接中学与中学后教育的重要策略。该竞赛精心设计遴选程序,如与SAT紧密配合、注重过程性评价、完善激励机制、提供个性化学习服务及职业指导等,力图实现选才育才的多元目标,成功地在美国中学与中学后教育之间搭建了沟通平台。这些策略也为我国衔接中学与中学后教育提供了极有价值的借鉴和启示。National Merit Scholarship Competition is an important link for American middle schools to cultivate and select talents outside the curriculum,and it is also an important strategy for connecting middle school and post-middle school education in the United States.The competition carefully de-signed selection procedures,such as close cooperation with SAT,focusing on process evaluation,im-proving the incentive mechanism,providing the personalized learning services and career guidance,striving to achieve the multiple goals of talent selection and education,and successfully building a com-munication platform between middle school and post-middle school education in the United States.These strategies provide valuable reference and enlightenment for the connection between middle school and post-middle school education in our country.
