论《芒果街上的小屋》空间书写中的女性困境

摘　　要：桑德拉·希斯内罗丝的《芒果街上的小屋》用44个短篇小故事叙述了小说中女主人公在殖民主义、种族主义与父权制多重压迫下的成长经历。作品着意淡化其成长的时间维度,在非线性逻辑拼贴的故事中突出小屋、墨西哥裔社区等空间意象。审视美国墨西哥裔女性成长过程中复杂的生存空间,从家庭空间、社会空间和精神空间三个维度揭露了美国墨西哥裔女性在家庭空间遭受父权制剥削和在社会空间饱受种族歧视的艰难处境。物理空间的生存困境迫使她们在精神空间中追寻自我价值和意义,展示了女性独立自主意识的觉醒。Forty-four short stories in The House on Mango Street written by Sandra Cisneros describe the heroine's growth experience under the multiple oppressions of colonialism,racism and patriarchy.The work deliberately dilutes the time dimension of the heroine's growth but highlights spatial images such as huts and Mexican communities in the story with non-linear logical collages.This work examines the complex living space of Mexican women in America in the process of their growth,and reveals the difficult situation of Mexican women in America who are exploited by patriarchy in family space and racial discrimination in social space from the three dimensions of family space,social space and spiritual space.The survival plight of the physical space forces them to pursue self-worth and meaning in the spiritual space,and this shows the awakening of female independent consciousness.
