摘　　要：夗”初文象孑孓之形,从“夗”之字有圜曲屈伏和聚集蕴积两类意义。战国时期分化为“夗”“肙”“[亼夗]”三形,分属不同地域用字。“夗”为初文讹变,见于秦系文字,后世沿用。“肙”为初文省变后增区别意符“口”而成,见于楚系文字;“肙”本是表孑孓义的专字,后孳乳为“蜎”。“[亼夗]”为“夗”增“亼”旁而成,见于齐鲁、三晋文字;本是为聚集义造的专字,构形存于后世字书。The earliest form of the character"yuan(夗)"resembled the pictograms孑孓.Characters consi-sting of"夗""in the literature usually represented two categories of meanings:bending and gathering.During the Warring States Period,the earlier form of the character yuan(夗)"differentiated into three characters:"夗""肙",and"[亼夗]",which were used in different regions."",transformed erroneously from its earlier form,was found in the Qin scripts,and used by later generations."肙",formed by adding a distinctive sign""to the simplified form of its earlier form,was found in Chu texts;""was originally used to indicate the meaning of孑孓,and later transformed to"蜎""[亼夗]",formed by adding"亼"to"夗",was found in Qi and Han,Zhao,Wei scripts;"[亼夗]"was probably a special character created to express the meaning of gathering,and its form is still preserved in the scripts of later generations.
