摘　　要：理查德·耶茨作为焦虑时代的伟大作家,在生前没有取得成功,却在死后收获名望。他将自己充满悲剧色彩的一生写进作品中,用敏锐深刻的洞察力和贴近生活的笔触为我们展示出震撼人心的孤独与绝望。其代表作《革命之路》一经问世便获得业界认可,后来又被著名导演萨姆·门德斯改编成同名电影而家喻户晓。书中虽然没有枪火弹药,却处处弥漫着生活的硝烟。这是一场推翻平庸生活的革命,而革命却注定要失败。因为在这物欲横流的社会,人性异化产生的孤独和绝望将大部分人都困在碌碌无为的泥沼中。Richard Yates,as the great writer of the Anxious Age,failed to achieve success in life.He wrote his tragic life into his works,showing us the shocking loneliness and despair with keen and profound insight and brushstrokes close to life.His masterpiece Revolutionary Road was an instant success as soon as it was published,and was later adapted into a film of the same name by famous director Sam Mendes and became a household name.Although there is no ammunition,the novel fills with the smoke of life.It's a revolution that overturns the mediocre,but it's doomed to failure,because in this materialistic society,most people are trapped in the bog by the loneliness and despair generated by human alienation.
