《慈悲》的凝视机制与身份认同研究

摘　　要：《慈悲》是非裔美国作家托尼·莫里森继《爱》之后的又一力作,作品继承了种族歧视、身份认同等主题,刻画了在以奴隶主为代表的男性的凝视下黑人女性用身体反抗凝视的艰难历程。文章通过聚焦女主人公弗洛伦斯被规训和建构的身体,揭示小说中蕴藏的凝视机制,同时也为黑人女性等边缘群体提供了借助第三空间消解凝视,实现身份认同的新范式。A Mercy is another masterpiece by Tony Morrison,an African American writer,after Love,inheriting themes such as racism and identity,and depicting the difficult process of black women resisting gaze with their bodies under the gaze of men represented by slave owners.By focusing on the disciplined and constructed body of the heroine Florence,this paper reveals the gaze mechanism contained in the novel,and also provides a new paradigm for marginal groups such as black women to dispel gaze and realize identity with the help of a third space.
