民国时期苏州监狱发展史研究

摘　　要：民国时期的苏州监狱是在清末苏州罪犯习艺所的基础上改建的,狱址几度变更,与南京老虎桥监狱和上海提篮桥监狱并称为民国三大监狱。民国时期的苏州监狱在罪犯收押释放、教育教诲、监狱作业等方面有自身的特点,是苏州地区犯罪与惩罚的晴雨表。由于监狱管理人员素质的低下,引发多次监管安全事故,加上监狱经费管理体制不顺,教育教诲有名无实,和其他新式监狱一样,都是国民党实行反动统治的暴力机器。Suzhou prison in the period of the Republic of China was rebuilt on the basis of Suzhou Institute of crimi-nal vocational training institution in the late Qing Dynasty.Suzhou prison in the Republic of China period has its own characteristics in the aspects of prisoners'admission and release,education and teaching,prison work,etc.As a result of the low quality of the prison administration stff,which led to many supervision and security accidents,coupled with the prisonfunds management system is not smooth,education and teaching had only name,are all the violent machine of the Kuomintang to implement reactionary rule with other new-style prisons.
