摘　　要：1953年,《新华字典》初版编写完成后,新华辞书社着手编写针对小学文化程度读者的字典--《新华小字典》,为此制定了多份编辑工作文件,在总体设计上多有创新。《新华小字典》作为《新华字典》初版的衍生品,对研究《新华字典》编纂思想有重要价值。In 1953,following the completion of Xinhua Dictionary(1st Edition),the Xinhua Lexicographical House embarked upon a new dictionary tailored for users with an elementary level of education,titled Pocket Xinhua Dictionary.From its well-preserved editorial documents and sample pages,considerable innovation can be observed even today.Therefore,it can be safely stated that Pocket Xinhua Dictionary,as a derivative of Xinhua Dictionary(1st Edition),holds significant value in exploring the compilation ideology of Xinhua Dictionary.
