比较修辞学视域下中国古典修辞研究的起点、焦点与落脚点

摘　　要：比较修辞学视域下的中国古典修辞研究是国外修辞研究引人注目的热点,在过去五十年间主要围绕“中国古典修辞有无论辩”这一传统议题展开。通过探讨中西比较修辞的核心主题、新路径及对话可能,本研究发现中西比较修辞的主要研究点在于中国古典修辞的论辩与非论辩观,提出“争”与“不争”两个概念同时是比较修辞学视域下的中国古典修辞研究的起点和焦点。中西比较修辞研究应超越西方修辞学传统,通过“不争”理念这一落脚点,使中国古典修辞与当代西方修辞理论中的邀请修辞进行跨时空的互动与对话。这一路径能够继承中国修辞传统并突出中国修辞的主体性,为中华文明国际传播提供一定的借鉴意义。Tracking the topic of interest to a group of international rhetoricians,the comparative rhetorical study of ancient Chinese rhetoric has been centered around the traditional issue of"whether there is argument or not in ancient China"in the past 50 years.By discussing the core themes of comparative rhetoric,the new path of comparative rhetoric,and a possible dialogue between Chinese and Western rhetoric in view of the notion of"noncontention",we find that research interests of comparative studies of Chinese rhetoric lie in discussing argument and non-argument of Chinese rhetorical traditions,and therefore maintain that"contention"and"noncontention"are theoretical points where the inquiry both starts and focuses.We also propose that a comparative study of Chinese and Western rhetoric should surpass the Western rhetorical tradition by bringing a dialogue rooted in distinct space and ages between ancient Chinese rhetoric and invitational rhetoric,drawing on the foothold of"noncontention".This path,being helpful to inherit Chinese rhetorical traditions,may highlight the subjectivity of Chinese rhetoric and shed light on the international communication of Chinese culture.
