摘　　要：当前,住房和城乡建设部正在全面深化与联合国人居署的合作,与联合国人居署、上海市人民政府共同设立“全球可持续发展城市奖(上海奖)”。该奖项以城市可持续发展为主题,旨在表彰世界范围内在可持续发展方面取得突出进展的优秀城市。对“全球可持续发展城市奖(上海奖)”有一定参考性的,是于2011年设立的广州国际城市创新奖(以下简称“广州国际城市奖”)。2011年,广州市人民政府以世界城市和地方政府组织(UCLG,全球最大的国际多边城市组织)联合主席城市的名义倡议,联合UCLG和世界大都市协会,创设了“广州国际城市奖”,旨在表彰城市和地区政府在社会、经济、治理、环境及技术领域的创新实践,为世界各地城市定期共享创新经验、共担挑战提供交流平台。“广州国际城市奖”已成功运行十年,并得到联合国人居署的高度认可以及国际城市的广泛参与,分析该奖的成就、经验,可为“全球可持续发展城市奖(上海奖)”提供参考。The Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Deve lopment is deepening its cooperation with UN-Habitat to establish the“Global Sustainable Deve lopment City Award(Shanghai Award)”in partnership with the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.This award recognizes cities worldwide that have made significant progress in sustainable development.The Guangzhou Internat ional City Innovation Award,established in 2011,serves as a reference for the Shanghai Award.Initiated by the People's Government of Guangzhou in collaborat ion with UCLG and the World Metropolitan Association,the Guangzhou International City Award recognizes innowative practices in society,economy,governance,environment,and technology.It provides a platform for cities to share experiences and challenges.After 10 years of successful operation,the award has gained recognition from the United Nat ions Human Settlements Programme and participation from international cities.Its achievements and experiences can serve as a reference for the Shanghai Award.
