摘　　要：学堂梁子遗址位于湖北省十堰市勋阳区(原县)青曲镇弥陀寺村,坐落于秦岭和大巴山之间的汉江上游左岸,曲远河口西侧(图一)。东北距青曲镇约10公里,东距勋阳城区约40公里。遗址中心地理坐标为北纬32°50°2.39″、东经110°35'7.33″,海拔160~287米。In 2021 and 2022,archaeological surveys of the Xuetangliangzi site were conducted alongside major excavations at loci B,C,and E.Uncovered archaeological remains include a complete sequence of Paleolithic cultures in South China.The history of prehistoric human activity at the site spans more than one million years,the early through late Paleolithic period.No.3 skull fossil,"Yunxian Man,"unearthed from the Layer 3 of Area B dates to approximately one million years ago and is the best-preserved hominin cranium found on the Eurasian continent of its period.
