摘　　要：四台遗址位于河北省张家口市尚义县石井乡四台蒙古营村南,西南距尚义县城35公里,南距长城大境门关隘约100公里,东北距华北第一大内陆湖安固里淖7.5公里(图一)。地理坐标为北纬41°17'39″、东经114°13°47″,海拔约1450米。遗址于2004年发现,2015~2018年张家口市文物考古研究所进行了抢救性发掘,取得重要收获。Neolithic remains uncovered at the Sitai site from 2020 to 2022 can be divided into five groups.Major features consist of more than 40 dwellings,along with unearthed artifacts made of pottery,stone,bone,and shell,etc.The first,second,and third group of remains represent the Sitai culture,the earliest Neolithic culture in this region.The third group of remains provide early evidence of dryland agriculture in this area and even in North China,dating to around 7600 years ago.Some attributes in the fourth group belong to the late Yumin culture phase II(Xinglong culture phase II),which represents the southern boundary of the Yumin culture.The fifth group indicates exchange with northern cultures,which is of great significance for studying the formation of the early steppe Silk Road.
