摘　　要：姚河塬遗址位于宁夏回族自治区彭阳县新集乡东北5公里处的黄土塬上,地处陇山东侧泾水上游。红河的支流小河、李儿河分别从遗址南北两侧流过,并在遗址东侧交汇。遗址区北以李儿河南岸塬地的断崖为界,南抵小河北岸的塬地断崖,西以一条南北向自然冲沟为界,东到塬地尽头的断崖边,面积约92万平方米(图一)。姚河塬遗址系2017年4月在彭阳县红河流域区域系统考古调查过程中发现。The Yaoheyuan Site is located on the loess plateau 5 kilometers northeast of Xinji Township,Pengyang County,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,on the upper reaches of the Jing River on the east side of Longshan.In 2018,the Ningxia Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology excavated the tomb M42,located east of the central part of the northern cemetery at the site's Area Ⅰ.It is a vertical earthen shaft rectangular pit tomb in the north-south direction.Artificial ledges were found around the bottom of the tomb,as well as a waist pit with a sacrificed dog in the middle of the bottom.Burial receptacles are a coffin and a coffin chamber.Unearthed artifacts were made of pottery,jade,bone,horn,ivory,shell,etc.According to these artifacts and carbon-14 dating results,the tomb was dated to the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty.Given its abundant artifacts,distinguished standard,unique funeral customs,and the jade shapes are nearly the same as that of the Western Zhou tombs in the Central Plains,M42 is of great value in exploring the material culture and ritual system of the northwestern frontier of the Zhou Dynasty.
