摘  要:曾孝谷是春柳社的主要发起人之一。虽然他以改编话剧剧本和亲自登台演出为人所知,但综其一生,仍在传统戏剧上用力最深。他认为戏剧作为一种综合的艺术形式,既具有其独特的美感特质,又兼有教化的社会功用。各民族的戏剧是其传统文化的凝结物,中国传统戏剧有不可抹杀的价值。他借鉴西洋剧和日本新剧的长处,提出对传统戏剧的形式进行改良,并提出建立戏剧专门学校和戏剧行业协会的构想。孝谷的思想深受儒家思想影响,面对民国时期日益深重的内忧外患,他放弃了早年的趋新倾向,彻底转向保守。这种表面上由“新”而“旧”的转变在成都士人中具有代表性。Zeng Xiaogu was one of the main founders of Chunliu Modern Drama Society.Although he is known for adapting drama scripts and performing on stage himself,he still spares much effort in traditional drama throughout his life.He believes that drama,as a comprehensive artistic form,not only bears its unique aesthetic characteristics,but also indicates the social function of shaping the mind through education.Dramas of various ethnic groups are the condensation of their traditional cultures,and traditional Chinese dramas have indelible value.He drew on the strengths of Western dramas and Japanese new dramas,proposed to improve the form of traditional dramas,and established drama schools and drama industry associations.Zeng Xiaogu's thought was deeply influenced by Confucianism.Faced with the increasingly serious internal and external troubles during the Republic of China,he gave up his early tendency of pursuing innovation and completely turned conservative.This apparent transformation from"the new"to"the old"was typical among Chengdu scholars at that time.
