Sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease(SPID)is a common gynecological disease characterized by pelvic congestion, lower abdominal pain, lumbosacral pain, pelvic tissue thickening, and adhesions.Traditional Chinese medicine has significant advantages in the treatment of this disease. It believes that blood stasis is the main pathogenesis of SPID,and the method of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis should be implemented throughout. However, the pathogenesis of SPID has not yet been fully elucidated, and inflammatory response is one of the important pathogenesis. In recent years, the relationship between SPID blood stasis syndrome and inflammatory response has attracted widespread attention in the academic community, especially the inflammatory factors TNF-α,IL-6,and CRP.This article reviews the research on the correlation between SPID blood stasis syndrome and inflammatory response from the perspectives of traditional medicine and modern medicine,in order to clarify some of the physiological and pathological mechanisms of SPID blood stasis syndrome.
