摘　　要：在《猫的摇篮》中,库尔特·冯内古特揭示了自己对失控的科学技术的恐惧情绪。在小说中,他以“疯狂科学家”的形象展现了他对“浮士德情结”的担忧,象征着纯粹工具理性的人们或许将使得科技走向不可控的方向;他也敏锐地察觉到了以超级武器为代表的技术与战争之间的紧密关系,并且对其中的进步主义思想提出了自己的质疑;此外,冯内古特还对被科技的力量祛魅后的自然世界与精神世界感到焦虑,因此尝试以与不确定性共存的前启蒙时代神秘主义哲学重新建构科技之外的话语体系,并试图构建一个围绕着“动态张力”运行的和谐世界。In Cat's Cradle,Kurt Vonnegut revealed his fear of uncontrollable science and technology.In this novel,he displayed through the images of"mad scientists"his concern for"the complex of Faust"that people with pure instrumental rationality may lead technology to an unpredictable direction;he also sharply sensed the resemblance between the technology represented by super weapons and warfare,and brought about his questioning attitude towards the progressivism embodied in that.In addition,Vonnegut felt anxious because of nature and the spiritual world of human beings after the disenchantment by technology,therefore he attempted to re-construct a discourse system other than science with the preenlightenment occultist philosophy that co-existed with uncertainty,in order to build a world running harmoniously with"dynamic tension".
