摘　　要：蓄意隐喻理论强调隐喻的语用交际,把经典概念隐喻理论的二维分析框架提升到三维,增加了其修辞意蕴,体现出与新修辞学之间的学理相通性,主要表现为实践基础上的社会关系本体论、“话语—认知—语用”三维认识论、自上而下定性理论推导与自下而上定量概括相结合的方法论。基于此,本文尝试针对蓄意隐喻研究存在的争议和问题,提出蓄意隐喻理论发展的新修辞学进路,主要包括借鉴“修辞情境理论”,加强对蓄意隐喻使用语境的动态性和系统性认识;利用认同修辞和戏剧主义修辞理论,在动态语境中考察蓄意隐喻使用的动机和功能,提升蓄意理论对蓄意性机制的阐释力。蓄意隐喻理论的发展标志着隐喻研究从修饰性修辞手段到概念思维方式,再到认知语用修辞策略的跃升,不仅修复了认知隐喻研究与修辞学之间的裂缝,更加全面地阐述蓄意隐喻所具有的认知和修辞双重功能,而且有助于进一步提升新修辞学的认知阐释力,推动跨学科借鉴和交融。By virtue of its highlight of pragmatic communication in expanding the classic two-dimensional conceptual metaphor theory to three-dimension,the deliberate metaphor theory(DMT)involves rhetoric entailments,whereby demonstrating substantial doctrinal compatibilities with new rhetoric,residing in practicebased ontology of social relationship,discourse-cognition-pragmatics three dimensional epistemics,and a combined methodology of bottom-up quantitative induction with top-down qualitative deduction.Accordingly,this paper attempts to propose a new rhetoric approach to DMT's redress from the well-discussed issues and problems.On one hand,the theoretical principles of rhetoric situation can be employed to emphasize the dynamicity and systematicity of the situation of metaphor use in constructing the deliberateness.On the other,theories of identification and drama rhetoric can be drawn on to examine the motives and functions of deliberate metaphor,thereby enhancing the explication of DMT over the deliberate mechanism.The development of DMT escalates the metaphor study from adornment rhetorical means to ways of thinking,further to cognitive pragmatic rhetoric strategy.The escalation not only repairs the rift between cognitive metaphor study and rhetoric in providing more comprehensive explication for both the cognitive and rhetoric functions of metaphor,but also helps to enhance the cognitive explication of new rhetoric,contributing to interdisciplinary reference and fusion.
