摘 要:古语中的“政治”乃“治其政”的名词化表述,然用例不多。“政治”在清代固定、普及,传教士借用中国古籍中的表述,以近代西方观念重新定义“政治”。通过日语名词的再输入,“西政”在晚清取代了传统意涵之“政治”,儒家修齐治平的理想则是一以贯之的内核。政治学的诞生标志“政治”被纳入近代西方知识体系,“政法”的兴起更折射出时人治国想象的变化。“政治”的去道德化造成其传统概念域坍缩,语义色彩亦渐趋消极,沦为改造、革命的对象。“Zheng Zhi”in ancient Chinese classics is a nominal expression of“zhi qi zheng”(govern the country),but there are not many instances of its using.“Zheng Zhi”was fixed and popularized in the Qing Dynasty.Missionaries borrowed expressions from ancient Chinese classics to redefine“Zheng Zhi”with modern Western concepts.Through the re-input of Japanese nouns,“Western politics”replaced the traditional meaning of“Zheng Zhi”in the late Qing Dynasty,and the Confucian ideal of“Xiu Qi Zhi Ping”was its consistent core.The birth of political science marked that“Zheng Zhi”was subsumed into the modern Western knowledge system,and the rise of“Fa Zheng”reflected the changes in the imagination of governing the country.The de-moralization of“Zheng Zhi”caused its traditional conceptual domain becoming narrow,and its semantic meanings had gradually become negative and the object of transformation and revolution.
