Based on the altitude simulation system for plateau intake and exhaust,a study was conducted on the differences in carbon smoke emissions at different altitudes for non-road phase IV self-priming diesel engines, and the influencing factors of the differences in carbon smoke emissions at high altitudes were analysed. The research has shown that with increasing altitude, the carbon smoke emissions of diesel engines decrease, which is mainly related to the calibration strategy of reducing the fuel supply to achieve low emissions due to insufficient intake at high altitudes;with increasing altitude, the intake volume, fuel supply volume and fuel injection advance angle of the diesel engine all decrease, with a decrease rate of about 10%/1000m.The fuel supply parameters at an altitude of 4000m decrease by more than 35%compared to the plain;due to the special nature of the operation of non-road mobile machinery, its actual operating conditions are mostly concentrated at intermediate and rated speeds. The soot emissions of this engine are similar under the same load, but the soot emissions at rated speed are higher than those at intermediate speed.
