《远山淡影》中“空白”的现象学解读

摘　　要：石黑一雄在其第一部小说《远山淡影》中设置了许多“空白”,读者需要自己来填补,进而主动参与这部小说的意义构建。沃尔夫冈·伊瑟尔是接受美学阅读理论创建者之一,采用现象学的方法来研究阅读过程,强调读者在阅读文学作品的过程中参与构建意义的重要性。本文采用伊瑟尔的现象学视角下的接受美学阅读模型对石黑一雄的《远山淡影》进行分析和解读,主要涉及阅读过程中的期待视野的形成和回溯、空白的填补、完型的构建和幻象的形成以及破灭等,以揭示石黑一雄小说中“空白”的审美价值。Kazuo Ishiguro's first novel A Pale View of Hills is full of enigmatic“gaps”awaiting reader's decoding,which involves reader's active participation in generating the meaning of the novel.Wolfgang Iser,one of the leading figures of the reception theory,especially advocating the significance of reader in the construction of the meaning of literary works,develops a phe⁃nomenological method in the research of the reading process.This article,therefore,will be an Iserian reading of this novel following Iser's framework of the phenomenological approach of reading concerning major concepts of anticipation and retrospection,indeterminacy and gap⁃fill⁃ing,gestalt and illusions in order to get deeper understanding of this novel.It will also success⁃fully prove the feasibility of Iser's phenomenological approach to the interpretation of the work.This reading would demonstrate the aesthetic values of“gaps”in Ishiguro's novel.
