摘 要:李格尔是十九世纪晚期重要的艺术史家之一。从发生学、本体论到认识论,李格尔的诸多理论及概念阐发,均为现代艺术史学科奠定了思想基础,并且对后世产生了极其广泛与深刻的影响。比较而言,李格尔有关建筑及工艺美术的讨论则少有受到学界关注。事实上,针对复古主义建筑风潮的理论批判,以及基于各类工艺美术而形成的风格论,不仅显示出李格尔独特的设计思想与设计史观,而且是理解“艺术意志”概念、反思形式主义方法论的必要补充及不可绕行的理论路径。Alois Riegl is one of the most important art historians in the late nineteenth century.From embryology and ontology to epistemology,Riegl's many theories and conceptual interpretations have laid the intellectual foundations for the modern discipline of art history and had a profound influence on subsequent generations.In comparative terms,Riegl's views on architecture and the arts and crafts have received less attention from the academic community.In fact,Riegl's theoretical critique of the architectural trend of retrogressivism and his theory of style based on the various arts and crafts not only reveal Riegl's unique design thinking and design history perspective,but also are a necessary theoretical path for understanding the concept of"artistic will"and for reflecting on formalism.
