摘  要:香雪庄主人陈之初是20世纪新加坡华人藏家,收藏了大量中国近现代书画作品,曾在东南亚声名远扬。这些旧藏如今不同程度地分布于新加坡、中国台湾等地区的公、私立博物馆,其中新加坡亚洲文明博物馆所藏质量最精。相关藏品呈现出对海派一脉的青睐,且任伯年作品数量最多。一方面,他与徐悲鸿的交往对其收藏审美影响很大;另一方面,特殊的历史机缘为其带来一定的收藏条件。其收藏规模的最终形成,归根结底来自其特殊的文化身份,以及对中国艺术的热爱和对中华文化的认同。Chen Zhichu(1911-1983),the owner of Xiangxue Zhuang,was a Singaporean Chinese collector,highly reputed in Southeast Asia,and who assembled an important number of modern Chinese paintings and calligraphy work.These works are now stored in public and private museums in Singapore,Chinese Taiwan,and other places.The finest works once acquired by Chen Zhichu are now to be found in the Asian Civilizations Museum in Singapore.Chen Zhichu’s collection displays his inclination towards the Shanghai School of painting—the largest body of works was by Ren Bonian.On the one hand,his interaction with Xu Beihong had a great influence on the aesthetics of his collection.Particular historical opportunities also create certain conditions for art collecting.The formation of the final scale of Chen Zhichu's collection comes from his special cultural identity as well as his love for Chinese art and recognition of Chinese culture.
