摘　　要：基金会大学是国外私立大学发展的一种模式,也是近年来我国中央和地方政府鼓励与倡导的模式之一。由于当前相关的研究成果不多,可供政府决策和办学实践的参考资料十分稀少,在实践中基金会大学和大学基金会的概念经常混淆不清,有可能误导社会的认知。鉴于民办高校办学资金需求巨大、举办者难以割舍学校举办权和治理权、运作规范监管严苛以及政策供给不足等主客观因素,未来一个时期基金会大学会在我国有所发展,但难以成为民办高校办学的主流模式。Foundation universities are a model of private higher education development commonly found overseas and have also been encouraged and advocated for by national and local governments in China in recent years.Due to the limited existing research in this area,there is limited reference materials available for government decision-making and educational practice.In practice,the concepts of foundation universities and university foundations are often confused,which could mislead public perception.Given the substantial financial requirements,the difficulty for organizers to relinquish school management and governance rights,stringent operational regulations,and inadequate policy support,foundation universities are expected to experience some growth in China in the foreseeable future,though they are unlikely to become the primary model for non-government institutions of higher learning.
