论《梅丽迪安》中黑人革命形式的矛盾性存在

摘　　要：在《梅丽迪安》中,爱丽丝·沃克哀悼并纪念了在黑人民权运动中牺牲的英雄们,反思了运动过程所使用的政治策略及其效用,展示了以悲伤和哀悼为表现的非暴力革命形式之局限,以及愤怒或可具有的暴力革命之潜能。尽管哀悼和悲伤存在消极性和被动性等不足,但是它们在某些时刻也能成为宣泄愤怒的形式,从而获得改变现状之革命力量。虽然愤怒比悲伤和哀悼更激进、更积极、更具有革命性,但不加限制的愤怒又势必会造成破坏性后果。因此,沃克质疑了马丁·路德·金所倡导的非暴力反抗主张,与此同时,她对暴力革命形式,尤其对不加管控的愤怒所表现出来的暴力反抗形式持保守意见。In Meridian,Alice Walker mourns and commemorates the heroes who died in the civil rights movement,reflects on the political strategies employed in the movement and their efficacy,and shows the limitations of nonviolent revolution in the form of grief and mourning,as well as the potentials of violent revolution that rage may contain.Although grief and mourning have such shortcomings as negativity and passivity,they can also become the form of venting anger in some moments,hence obtaining the revolutionary power of changing the status quo.Although rage is more radical,more active and highly revolutionary than grief and mourning,unrestricted rage is bound to cause the devastating consequences.Therefore,Walker,while questioning the principle of nonviolent resistance advocated by Martin Luther King,remains conservative towards the forms of violent revolution,especially the violent resistance expressed by uncontrolled rage.
