Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)caused follicular development, ovulation disorders and metabolic disorders seriously affect the menstrual and reproductive function of women of reproductive age,and can lead to a series of pathological changes.MicroRNA(miRNA),as non-coding RNA that regulates post-transcriptional gene expression,is also the research focus in the field of PCOS.The expression of miRNA in follicular fluid of PCOS patients has certain characteristics,in which differentially expressed miRNA is involved in regulating the gene expression of PCOS-related pathological changes such as abnormal proliferation and apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells, oxidative stress and hyperandrogen secretion, and their expression levels are related to the complications of PCOS such as insulin resistance and hyperandrogenemia. Therefore,miRNA in follicular fluid may become a new target for the prevention and treatment of PCOS,as well as a biomarker for diagnosis and classification, and prediction of treatment outcome, which has important research value.
