摘  要:时域布里渊散射技术(time-domain Brillouin scattering,TDBS)是近些年发展起来的一种超快泵浦探测技术。利用本实验室新近搭建的TDBS实验平台,结合金刚石压砧(diamond anvil cell,DAC),介绍了一种全新的原位测量高压加载下立方相透明晶体的单晶弹性常数的方法。以单晶MgO为研究对象,测量了常压及高压下MgO的[100]与[111]晶向的纵波声速,分析了其声速各向异性。再结合已知的状态方程,获得了MgO的完整弹性常数。实验结果表明,MgO在常压下呈现较强的声速各向异性,但随着压强的升高,其声速各向异性逐渐减弱,并在压强为约18 GPa时趋于各向同性。实验结果与文献中的实验数据十分吻合,证明了该实验方法的可靠性和高精确性。Time-domain Brillouin scattering(TDBS)is an ultrafast pump-probe technique.Using our recently established TDBS setup,combining with the diamond anvil cell(DAC),we present here a new experimental method to study single-crystal elastic moduli of optically transparent cubic crystals compressed in a DAC.With the application of this method,we measured here longitudinal sound velocities of single-crystal MgO along its[100]and[111]crystallographic orientations.Using its well-known equation of state,complete elastic tensors of MgO were obtained.Our results demonstrate that MgO exhibits strong elastic anisotropy at ambient pressure,but the anisotropy weakens upon compression,then diminishes to be isotropic when pressure approaching 18 GPa.These results agree well with previously published experimental data,and demonstrate the reliability of this new experimental method.
