摘 要:罗志田曾指出中国古代的夷夏之辨具有两面性,同时包含着“开放”与“封闭”两种逻辑。东汉后期的“弃凉之议”展现出夷夏观念内部两种逻辑的对立与冲突。主张“弃凉”者拒绝承认夷夏之间的互动,认为应当割弃凉州以永绝“夷狄”之扰,体现了其夷夏观念的封闭性。王符等反对“弃凉”者则强调“王者无外”,认为圣王即使是对“夷狄”也负有教化责任,体现了其夷夏观念的扩张性。虽然争论双方的观点导向截然对立的政治实践,但无论何种夷夏观念,其根本前提均为夷夏之间在道德上有着高下之分。具有歧视属性的夷夏观念加剧了汉羌冲突,而汉羌冲突最终将东汉王朝推向覆亡。Luo Zhitian once pointed out that the argument between Yi-Xia concept in ancient China has two sides,including“open”and“closed”logic.The discussion of abandoning the LiangZhou in the late Eastern Han Dynasty shows the contradiction and conflict between the two logical ideas of Yi-Xia concept.Those who advocate Abandoning the LiangZhou refuse to admit the interaction between Yi and Xia,and be-lieve that Liangzhou should be abandoned in order to eliminate the disturbance of Yi Di forever,which reflects the closed concept of Yi-Xia.Wang Fu and others who oppose Abandoning the LiangZhou emphasize that“the emperor has nothing outside”,and hold that the sage emperor has the responsibility to civilize even the Yi Di,which reflects the expansion of his Yi-Xia concept.Although the two sides of the debate lead to completely opposite political practice,the basic premise of Yi-Xia concept is that there is a moral superiority between Yi and Xia.The Yi-Xia concept,full of discriminatory nature,resulted in that the conflict between Yi and Xia was inevitable,and the conflict finally pushed the Eastern Han dynasty to collapse.
