摘 要:清末,在盛宣怀掌握的众多企业当中,萍乡煤矿占有重要的地位。1911年,盛宣怀为扩展萍煤的销路,计划修建由萍乡至九江的铁路,并利用自己担任邮传部大臣的职务之便谋划将南浔铁路收归国有。商办的江西铁路公司建设南浔铁路已多年,但成绩却不佳,因资金匮乏,又一度依违于举借外债与收归国有之间。赣路公司管理层最终同意将南浔铁路收归国有,但因辛亥革命的爆发最终未成。赣路公司面临的困境在清末各省的商办铁路公司中具有代表性。南浔铁路的国有事件也折射出中国作为后发型现代化国家在工业化过程中面临的内在困境。In 1911,to expand the coal market of the Pingxiang coal mine,Sheng Xuanhuai planned to build a railway from Pingxiang to Jiujiang and nationalize the Nanxun railway by taking advantage of his position as minister of the Ministry of Post and Communication.The commercial Jiangxi Railway Company had been building and operating the Nanxun railway for years but was not doing well.Due to lack of funds,it once vacillated between borrowing foreign debts and nationalization.The management of Jiangxi Railway Company finally agreed to the nationalization of the Nanxun railway.The dilemma faced by Jiangxi Railway Company was representative among the commercial railway companies in the late Qing dynasty.The nationalization event also reflects the internal dilemma that China,as a post-modernizing country,faced in the process of industrialization.
