摘　　要：1876年,温州开埠前后与外部世界的联系日益密切。曹雅直、稻惟德开办的近代温州第一家西医诊所标志着西式医疗卫生实践在温州的开始。在仔细研读多种中外文史料的基础上,诊所的戒烟实践,曹雅直夫妇对鸦片的态度以及鸦片在温州的销售、种植和影响等问题得以第一次明晰和详细总结。In 1876,before and after the opening of the port,Wenzhou became more and more closely connected with the outside world.The opening of a western medical clinic in modern Wenzhou by George Stott and Arthur William Douthwaite marked the beginning of western-style medical and health care practices in Wenzhou.Based on a careful study from a variety of Chinese and foreign historical sources,the clinic's opium-banning practices,the attitudes of Mr.and Mrs.Stott toward opium,and the sale,cultivation,and impact of opium in Wenzhou are summarized in a clear and detailed manner for the first time.
