摘 要:基于词簇批评,以《中国日报》和《纽约时报》有关北京冬奥会开幕式的相关报道为语料的分析发现,中方媒体在报道中刻画的是认真负责的主办方形象、合作共赢的抗疫形象以及追求共同发展的政府形象;美方描绘的是经验不足的主办方形象、忽略事实的抗疫形象和言行不一的政府形象;中美媒体在建构中国国家形象的过程中,采用不同的修辞策略来实现各自的修辞动机。建议中方媒体在布局谋篇、文体风格和发表等方面都应做出适当调整以反击西方媒体的不实报道。Based on the cluster criticism,the analysis of the reports of China Daily and the New York Times on the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics has found that the Chinese media portrays the image of China as a responsible organizer of the grand event in cooperation against the pandemic and in pursuit of shared development,whereas the American media depicts the image of China as an inexperienced organizer,ignoring facts in the epidemic fight and inconsistent in governmental affairs.The Chinese and American media have adopted different rhetorical strategies to realize their own rhetorical motives in constructing different images of China.It is suggested that the Chinese media should make sound adjustments in arrangement,style and delivery of their reports to expose the falsehood in the reports of the western media.
