摘　　要：圣索菲亚大教堂是联合国认定的世界文化遗产,它见证了博斯普鲁斯海峡波诡云谲的历史变迁。多年以来,学界对于圣索菲亚大教堂历史价值的讨论,基本在文化艺术和宗教的领域中展开。实际上,一千多年以来,从文明史和政治史的角度观察,圣索菲亚大教堂更是罗马文明传统下帝国政治符号的象征。从这个角度出发,文章梳理分析了作为罗马政治符号具象化的圣索菲亚大教堂的历史变迁阶段和特点:拜占庭帝国将圣索菲亚大教堂视为东正教意识文化形态的中心,拉丁帝国将圣索菲亚大教堂回归天主教视为拉丁人重建罗马帝国的标志性事件,而奥斯曼土耳其帝国则将圣索菲亚大教堂的清真寺改造视为其继承罗马这一普世帝国政治合法性的象征。因此,圣索菲亚大教堂不仅具有文化和建筑的美学价值,更是自中世纪以来,作为罗马帝国正统性继承这一政治符号的具象化表达和传承载体。圣索菲亚大教堂作为一个意识形态的物质凝结,其发挥的独特作用,对东欧东正教文明区域的形成、冲突与重新整合影响深远,直到现在。Hagia Sophia is a world heritage site designated by UNESCO,which has witnessed changes in history around Bos⁃porus Strait.For many years,the academic discussion on the historical value of Hagia Sophia has been carried out in the fields of culture,art,and religion.In fact,for more than a thousand years,from the perspective of civilization history and political histo⁃ry,Hagia Sophia has become a symbol of imperial political symbols under the tradition of Roman civilization.From this point of view,this paper analyzes the stages and characteristics of Hagia Sophia as a concrete symbol of Roman politics.The Byzantine Empire regards Hagia Sophia as the center of Orthodox ideology and culture,and that the Latin Empire regards the return of Ha⁃gia Sophia to Catholicism as a landmark event in the rebuilding of the Roman Empire by the Latins.The Ottoman Turkish Em⁃pire,on the other hand,regards the mosque renovation of Hagia Sophia as a symbol of its succession to the political legitimacy of the universal empire of Rome.Therefore,the Hagia Sophia has the aesthetic value of culture and architecture and serves as a con⁃crete expression and inheritance carrier of the political symbol of the legitimacy of the Roman Empire since the Middle Ages.Fur⁃thermore,as a material condensation of ideology,Hagia Sophia plays a unique role in the formation,conflict,and reintegration of the Eastern European Orthodox civilization area,which has had a profound impact until now.
