摘  要:当前中国农村地区婚龄人口性别比严重失衡,未婚男青年婚配困难问题突出。基于中国家庭金融调查(CHFS)2015年、2017年和2019年数据,实证检验婚龄人口性别失衡背景下适龄未婚成员性别对农村家庭炫耀性消费的影响。结果表明,在婚姻挤压背景下,相比有适龄未婚女孩的家庭,有适龄未婚男孩的农村家庭的炫耀性消费水平显著更高,稳健性检验也支持这一结论。异质性分析表明,未婚成员性别对未婚成员学历在高中及以下的家庭、高收入家庭、中部和东部地区家庭的炫耀性消费水平的影响更为显著。At present,the gender imbalance of marriageable population in China's rural areas is serious,and the problem of unmarried young men's marriage is prominent.Based on the data of China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)in 2015,2017 and 2019,this paper analyze the impact of the gender of unmarried members of marriageable age on conspicuous consumption of rural households from the perspective of gender imbalance of marriageable age population.The results show that in the context of marriage squeeze,rural households with unmarried boys have significantly higher levels of conspicuous consumption than households with unmarried girls of the right age.The above conclusion is still valid after considering the endogenous problems such as sample selection bias and missing variables.Heterogeneity analysis shows that the gender of unmarried members has a more significant impact on the conspicuous consumption level of unmarried members with high school education and below,high-income families,and families in central and eastern regions.
