Qunxue,as a Chinese classical sociology, differs from Western sociology in terms of age, region, and cultural background. However, the fundamental concepts of"qun"and"society"in this discipline share a common essence, allowing for mutual comprehension and forming the basis for dialogue between"qunxue"and"sociology".On one hand,"qun"and"society"exhibitessential consistency. The former emphasizes the formation of social groups by human beings, while the latter asserts that humans are inherently social animals. Both face the challenges of world history throughout their respective evolutionary processes.Furthermore, the theoretical foundations and conceptual frameworks underlying these concepts can be mutually understood. The consistency between"qun"and"society"highlights the necessity of constructing an independent knowledge system for the discipline, based on original Chinese sociology. This requires adhering to the fundamental method of connecting ancient and modern knowledge, fostering mutual comprehension between Chinese and Western perspectives, and exploring and enhancing the conceptual and propositional systems.
