摘 要:钱基博《现代中国文学史》是20世纪30年代中国本土文学史编纂的代表之作,一问世就因其中西杂糅、新旧不均的体例受到极大争议。学界针对钱基博的文章学观点多有研究,但从他的教师身份以及教材角度切入,亦可解释该著之体例和主旨上的特殊之处。一方面,《现代中国文学史》是新学制规范下的产物,其思想脉络可在钱基博十数年的教材与讲义中找到印证;另一方面,该书亦有意与学界对话,以“提纲挈领”“详考因果”来纠正日式文学史模式,以史家笔法扩充“文学”的外延,以易学“会通”思想融合新旧学术,以文化上坚定的中国立场达到纠正道德人心的强烈诉求。Qian Jibo's Modern Chinese Literature History is a representative work of the compilation of indigenous Chinese literary history in the 1930s.As soon as it was published,it sparked great controversy due to its mixture of Chinese and Western elements and its uneven treatment of the old and the new Chinese literature.Scholars have studied Qian Jibo's literary views extensively,but what are overlooked as his identity as a teacher and the book's usage as a textbook can also contribute to explaining the special features of the style and theme of the book.On the one hand,Modern Chinese Literature History is a product of the new educational system,and its ideological context can be found in Qian Jibo's textbooks and lectures over the past decade.On the other hand,the book is also intended to engage in dialogue with the academic community,by adopting the methods of"outlining the main points"and"considering cause and effect"to correct the model of Japanese literary history,expanding the denotation of literature with the techniques of the historian,blending new and old academic approaches with the idea of Huitong'from I Ching,and firmly advocating a Chinese cultural standpoint to achieve a strong appeal for correcting moral values.
