摘　　要：韩定山出生于陇南文县,是陇上著名诗人、学者,杰出的教育家、书法家。他的《马仲英与河湟事变》一文从事变的起因、事变的突发、国民军袭取凉州、国民军进攻河州、马仲英等退出河州猛扑天水、马仲英等转入河西攻克宁夏、马仲英再入河西、马廷贤南据天水等八个方面对发生于1928年3月(公历5月)的河湟事变(河州事变)做了详细叙写。这次事变前后历时6年,整个西北地区裹挟其中,波及甘肃、宁夏、青海、新疆等省,尤其对甘肃境内造成极大的伤害与损耗,死难者达数十万人。这次事变的本质是军阀争权的斗争产物,然而在人为引导下,逐渐演化为民族矛盾、民族仇恨,汉、回、藏、维等民族被战争的洪流吸入其中,使这次事变表现得更为复杂。从历史的角度审视这次事变,我们要珍惜现在的生活,各民族和平相处,共建和谐社会。Mr.Han Dingshan,born in Wenxian County ofLongnan City,is a famous poet,scholar,outstanding educator and calligrapher.His article"Ma Zhongying and the Hehuang Incident"describes the Hehuang Incident(the Hezhou Incident)that occurred in March 1928(May of the Gregorian calendar)from eight aspects:the cause of the incident,the sudden incident,the invasion of Liangzhou by the Kuomintang army,the attack of Hezhou by the Kuomintang army,the withdrawal of Hezhou by Ma Zhongying,the attack of Tianshui by Ma Zhongying,the invasion of Ningxia by Ma Zhongying,the re-entry of Hexi by Ma Zhongying,and the southern occupation of Tianshui by Ma Tingxian.The incident lasted six years,and the whole northwest region was under siege,affecting Gansu,Ningxia,Qinghai,Xinjiang and other provinces,especially causing great damage and loss in Gansu,with hundreds of thousands of victims.The essence of this incident is the result of the struggle of warlords for power.However,under the artificial guidance,it evolved into national contradictions and hatred.The Han,Hui,Tibetan,Uyghur and other nationalities were sucked into it by the flood of war,which made this incident more complex.Looking at this incident from a historical point of view,we should cherish the present life,live in peace among all nationalities,and build a harmonious society together.
