The effective viable bacterial count is an important indicator for measuring the quality of granular microbial inoculants.Through experiments, the effects of moisture content, storage temperature, and light on the effective viable bacterial count of granular microbial inoculants are studied. The results show that the effective viable bacterial count decreases faster with the increase of the moisture content of the granular microbial inoculants, with the moisture content of 5.0%,15.0%and 25.0%,the effective viable bacterial count are reduced by 3.6%,9.1%and 21.8%respectively after 60 days of storage; The effective viable bacterial decays faster as the storage temperature of the particles increases, when stored at 5,20,35℃C for 60 days, the decay rates are 3.6%,5.5%and 12.7%respectively;When stored outdoors in direct sunlight, the effective viable bacterial decays by 41.8%within 9 days, while when stored away from light,it remains almost unchanged. In order to slow down the decay of effective viable bacteria and improve the effectiveness of granular microbial inoculants, users should choose products with low moisture content, store them as low as possible and avoid direct sunlight.
