摘　　要：当代美国华裔女作家任碧莲的小说《莫娜在希望之乡》描述了移民族裔对自身伦理身份的找寻以及抉择过程。其中,任碧莲通过小说所呈现出的自由流动性的身份观念以及所传递的主题和思想生动地契合了中国古代庄子的哲学思想。基于此,将庄子的哲学思想作为分析框架,通过探索任碧莲的身份建构观,对主流文化所塑造的美国族裔身份刻板化和唯一性进行批判,深度挖掘美国族裔群体身份的多样性与流变性。The novel Mona in the Promised Land by contemporary Chinese-American female writer Gish Jen describes the process of immigrants'seeking and choosing their own ethical identity.The free mobility identity concept presented by Gish Jen and the themes and thoughts conveyed by her novels vividly reflect the philosophy thought of the ancient Chinese philosophy of Chuang Tzu.Based on this,by taking Chuang Tzu's philosophical thoughts as the analytical framework and exploring Gish Jen's view of identity construction,this paper attempts to criticize the stereotyping and uniqueness of American ethnic identity as shaped by mainstream culture,so as to illustrate the diversity and fluidity of American ethnic group identity.
