美国华裔文学中国叙事的结构性困境——以《女勇士》文化“像似符”为例

摘　　要：基于对文学跨文化叙事功效的关照,论文使用皮尔斯符号学原理分析美国华裔文学经典作品《女勇士》。小说特殊的中国叙事和文化杂糅形成文化“像似符”,带来跨文化交流效率与“真实性”的失衡,反映出华裔文学中国叙事的结构性困境——美国“同质化共同体”对异质存在的压迫造成异族文化表面“像似性”叙事和隐性“同质化”叙事。汤亭亭“像似性”叙事的有效性是对早期华人群体“沉默”困境的突破。文化“像似符”是华裔文学文化传播发展早期形成的表意方式,其有效性会随着跨文化交流广度和深度的拓展而消减。《女勇士》的中国叙事困境和“发声”主题说明,多民族社会主体对“多元化共同体”建构的需求与呼声。Based on the concept of the efficacy of literary cross-cultural narrative,this paper uses Pierce’s theory of semiotics to analyze The Woman Warrior,a classic of Chinese American literature.The novel’s special Chinese narrative and cultural hybridity become a cultural icon and give rise to an imbalance between the efficiency of cross-cultural communication and its authenticity.It reflects the structural dilemma of Chinese narrative in Chinese American literature,namely,an overt iconicity narrative together with a covert homogenization narrative caused by the homogenized community’s oppression on the heterogeneous.The effectiveness of Kingston's iconicity narrative is a breakthrough for the silent early Chinese American community.Cultural icon is an expression of Chinese American literature in its early phase,and its effectiveness will fade with the development of cross-cultural communication.The structural dilemma of Chinese narratve in The Woman Warrior illustrates the multi-ethnic society’s need to construct a diversified community.
