The development of management science thought is a process that has always been accompanied by the collision of science and humanities and moves towards equal emphasis on science and humanities.Management scholars generally recognize that reinforcement theory is supremely rational but it ignores humanistic care, hierarchy of needs theory is emotionally advanced but it lacks scientific analysis, trying to correct the reinforcement theory from a humanistic perspective and to measure the hierarchy of needs theory from a scientific perspective. There is a“paradox”in this kind of overcorrected academic debate trying to merge science and humanities.Science and humanities are in a chimerical relationship, and it is precisely under the tension of mutual restraint and correct that they jointly promote the spiral development of management science thought.Grasping the“double helix structure”of science and humanities is conducive to correcting the bias in the research of management science thinking and may provide a boost to the innovation of management science thought.
