摘　　要：后藤朝太郎向来以其在汉学、文字学方面的成就而为学界所熟知,但其在近代日本造园学发展中发挥的重要作用却一直被世人所忽视。文章结合近代日本造园学发展的社会背景,根据一手史料,通过分析后藤朝太郎在日本庭园协会与东京高等造园学校创立中担任的角色及发挥的重要作用,肯定其在近代日本造园学发展中专注中国园林研究的权威地位。Chinese expert Goto Asataro has always been known for his achievements in sinology and philology,but his important role in the development of horticulture in modern Japan has been overlooked.Based on the social background of the development of horticulture in modern Japan,this paper analyzes the important role played by Asataro Goto in the founding of the Japanese Garden Association and the Tokyo Higher Landscape School based on first-hand historical data,and affirms his authoritative position in the development of modern Japanese horticulture in focusing on Chinese landscape research.
